Trail No Bake Oatmeal Mango Raisin Cookies

Just the right thing to go with trail hot chocolate.  My son James (grubmaster for his patrol) said: "they don't look nice, but they are good".  Enjoy them on your next out campout.

Prep: 1

Cook: Boiling water and wait 15 minutes, cooling in 15 - 20 minutes
Description: Easy Trail No Bake Oatmeal Mango Raisin Cookies.

What you need
  • 3/4 Cups white sugar
  • 3/4 Tablespoons powdered milk
  • 2 Tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/3 Cup of raisins
  • 1/3 Cup of dried mangos
  • 1 1/2 Cups quick-cooking oats
  • 1/4 Cup crunchy peanut butter
  • 3 Tablespoons of oil (olive, coconut)
  • 1/2 Teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 Cup of water

Directions:

Before hitting the trail:

  • Bag 1 - Combine dry ingredients (in bold) in a quart or sandwich sized bag
  • Bag 2 - Add the Oatmeal
  • Pack remaining ingredients

On the trail:

  • Bring water to a boil
  • Add Oil and dry ingredients Bag 1 (sugar, milk, and cocoa) to boiling water, cooking for 1 1/2 minutes
  • Remove from heat
  • Stir in peanut butter, oats, and vanilla.
  • Drop by teaspoonfuls onto a plate to let cool until hardened
