Today we are cooking breakfast.  The YAK includes may items. One item that has been requested is the ability to cook.  I hear "Richard its nice but where is the cooking system", well I'm happy to say the cooking system is on the way.  Until then enjoy our take on trail oatmeal.
Description: Trail Mango Raisin Oatmeal with a hint of Almond
Meal: Breakfast
Cooking Style: Freezer Bag, Insulated Mug, One Pot, YAK Cooking
Servings: 1
  • 2 pkt instant oatmeal
  • 2 Tablespoon dry milk
  • 1 Tablespoon chopped almonds
  • 3 Tablespoon chopped raisins
  • 1 Tablespoon chopped dried mangos
  • 1/2 Teaspon of brown suger
  • 1 cup water
  1. Pack everything in a pint size freezer bag (or sandwich size)
  2. Heat 1 cup of drinkable water to a near boil, turn off heat.
  3. Add freezer bag contents to the water.
  4. Stir well, seal tightly and allow to sit for at least 5 minutes.
Notes for vegans: Substitute rice or soy milk powder.
